Academic Competition at Varee Chiang Mai School

This week saw the first ever EP Academic Competition Day at Varee Chiang Mai School. The event was a great success – over 150 studetns from 4 English Programme Schools in Chiang Mai took part in 6 competition cover in everything from speeches to chess to singing. Mathayom 3EP students were given the opportunity to compete and Alex and Wisa both did very well in their respective events. They also represented Varee Chiang Mai School and received the overall prize for our school. More photos from this event to follow soon …

Mathayom 1EP – Romeo and Juliet

In English this week we began reading one of Shakespeare’s most famous works, ‘Romeo and Juliet’. We will continue reading this text next week and once completed will watch a modern adaption of this text staring Leonardo DiCaprio.

A group of M1EP students created their own adaption of this famous story and performed it in the Story Telling competition during the Varee EP Academic Competition Day 2011. Our M1 students competed with M1, M2 and M3 students from other EP schools in Chiang Mai and they did very well winning the 2nd place prize.
